Jodi over at Pleasant Home is doing a great Scrap Along.  The other day she posted a tutorial for a MUG RUG.  Well after seeing a few of them I decided to make one this morning.  Its a great way to use up scraps.  I started saving the little bits of strings (anything under 1-1/2") leftover from cutting fabric, blocks, etc.  I had them in this basket and new that one day they would find a home somewhere and I think I found it.  I didn't worry about straightening the edges.  I just picked out the purple ones and sewed them together.  Crooked, straight didn't matter.  Within a few minutes my Tree Mug Rug was born.  It looks great under my coffee cup.  Thanks Jodi for the Tutorial.  I will definitely be making a few more. 

Tomorrow I am off to Houston to festival.  I know I am going to have lots of fun and hope to not hurt my pocketbook too much.
