Winner winner

Recently I entered a giveaway for some Christmas fabric scraps from Kelly's blog myquiltinfatuation.blogspot.com.  I was so excited to find out I won. I love playing with scraps but I don't buy many Christmas fabrics so I was looking forward to making something with a Christmas feel. When I checked my mail last week there it was a box full of Christmas fabrics.  I immediately went to work. On Saturday night I had the table runner made and on Sunday morning I made a matching pillow.

The rest of Sunday I finished quilting a quilt I had on the frame I was working on for a lady my mom knows. She wanted simple quilting that did not over power her piecing. I love the way it came out.

When that was finished I loaded my table runner and quilted it.  I still have plenty of scraps left and have quite a few projects planned for them..

This weekend I will be working on getting a tshirt quilt I made quilted for a customer.

Seashell quilt - I finally finished quilting it

This is my moms quilt. It's for a Let Me Surprise You class given by Charlotte Angotti. My mom brought it to me several several months ago and I have been working on it very slowly since I travel to housto for two weeks a month. I promised her I would have it finished before houston quilt festival and today I put the last stitches in and it's ready to give back to her for binding.  It's not perfect.   But from the galloping horse you get the Wow Impact I was looking for. So glad this one is done. I took the same class but my quilt top is not even close to be finished.  Tomorrow I will make a back for one of my quilt top and load it onto my machine.

Finished top - one less UFO

I found a box when in my studio today of scrappy blocks I had started long ago.  I don't know why I do this but I have lots of UFO in which I have made all the blocks but then for some reason put them up and never finish.  All the blocks were in the box so all I need to do was put them in rows and assemble.

My new lil (and I mean little - only 1.5 pounds) chihuahua Trixie decided she needed to be in the picture too.  Lol. So during the New Orleans Saints game I assembled the top and I now have another quilt ready for quilting.

Here's Trixie in her basket while I quilted in my studio earlier today.
