Design Wall |
Alot of progress was made this week. I completed quite a few things this week and the last was done at 9 pm last night. Not wanting to have nothing on my design wall (or floor) this morning I pulled out this project that I had started last year and sewed on it for a while. I have alot of scraps that I was either given or acquired from members of my guild that were cleaning out their stash. I am not sure why I needed others scraps when I have so much of my own. Anyway when I got my GO cutter 2 years ago I cut a bunch of it in squares. Then I received a free pattern as a promotion for joining a magazine called Scrappity Do-Dah. I forget the designer and my mom has the pattern right now. Anyway I modified it a lil to add my own touch and these are the resulting blocks.
Mom's wonky log cabin - Quilted |
Now for my accomplishment for the week. First I finished the quilting on my mom's quilt. I think it came out pretty good. The swirls are all freehand and they are as wonky as the log cabin. I can't stitch a straight line much less stictch a perfect circle.
Well off now to work. Boys have basketball games everyday this week but Thursday. Which means busy busy mom :) For more design wall inspiration click on over to Judy L Design Wall Monday
