DESIGN WALL MONDAY - 11/1/10

Well not much sewing again this week.  My weekend was spent away in Alabama at Talledega speedway.  An early anniversary present for my DH.  He loved it.  I think I hit the mark on this one.  We were right across from the pits for both races and to the right of us was a clear view of Start/Finish Line.  He had the best time.

I was able to get a little sewing in before we left and between basketball games.  I added two more borders to quilt from Judy L's Note to Self  pattern.  All I have to do is sew on the final black border and pass the iron over it (wow its wrinkled) and the top will be complete.  Another one to add to the stack to be quilted.  I need to get going now that I have the midarm my mom gave me I should be rolling them out.  But that isn't happening yet.  Friday I pick up mom and we are heading to Houston Quilt Festival for the weekend.  I can't wait.

  1. My late husband loved Talledega. My favorite was always Dover Downs :)

  2. You know, I only live four hours, tops, from Talledega, but I've never been to the races there! Was it a long trip for you? Cheers! :)

  4. The Note to Self quilt turned out great.

I bet your DH was very happy, it was a great race. Though probably confusing if you were there because it ended on yellow and they had to apply all the rules and look at the tape.
