I am scheduled to take a class next Friday with Judy L. I really wanted to use fabrics I already had. So I scrumaged in my stash. I found the black fabric above with the silver and gold and immediately knew I wanted this to be my focus fabric. I found the other three fabrics and although I was ok with it because I didn't have to buy anything I wasn't really excited about it. I emailed a picture to my mom and she said there was no wow in it. I had nothing else that would work.
I sat at my computer and went on a hunt just to see. I found these to fabrics below and thought hmmm if I get it and doesn't work no loss because my brother in law wants a saints quilt and it can be used in that. So I ordered and it came in today. It was even prettier in person than on the monitor. I paired it with two of the other fabrics I had pulled and came up with this. Now I am excited to make the quilt. I love the combination of black, white and gold. 
On a different note. I just took this quilt off the frame. I made it for my mom and step-dad. Sure hope they like it. I know for sure my step dad will.
