Life on Plate - Finish

Another top is done and is in the stack of tops that needs to be quilted.  This one is 48" square and once quilted will lay beautifully across my mom's huge dining room table.  I was trying to come up with a name for the quilt and Life on a Plate came to my head.  Not sure about it so any suggestions or comments are welcome.  Anyway I don't think I did half bad for no pattern and design as I went.  She has another test dresden that she has no intentions of doing anything with so when I finish quilting this one I will get it from her and turn it into something.  Just in case your wondering that is my daughters feet hanging out from the bottom.......:)
I have two projects on my to do list that I need to get done and quilted before Christmas and before I do anything else.
1.  Unicorn Quilt
2.  Secret pal quilt
I am still playing with that durn Midarm mom gave me.  I just think i get it and something else happens to keep me from quilting perfectly.  Still haven't seen mom to get the manuals from her that she found so its a learn as u go kind of thing right now.

On a different note, the school is having character day on the 28th.  My son came home the other day after school and went to his room.  He came out the room and into my bedroom dressed like this.  I had the best laugh I have had in a long time.  Its not something u see everyday and only my 14 year old would do it.  His last dress up was for a girls beauty pagent where he dressed as a girl and took 2nd place.  Well back to sewing since this is the only day I have for it this week.  Had ballgames on Monday and Tuesday and two more on Thursday and Friday, then on Saturday BBQ with family before my son leaves for Marine Combat Traning.  There is hope for sewing time on Sunday but that will have to wait to be seen.

  1. Ok, I have you time to post and you didn't so I am going to tell your secret. Ladies, the reason she is having problems with that durn Midarm Mom gave her is because all this time she didn't put the presser foot down. Yep! Sometimes it is the little details that bring the mighty down! Lator gator.
