Mom and I went to the quilt shop on Tuesday and she bought me a gold fat qtr and fleur-de-lis ribbon and gave me some black and gold fabric scraps. I turned them into this. I love these ornaments they are quick and easy and use 2-1/2" squares with no sewing. I used my GO cutter to cut the squares so everything went quickly. This project can be done in an hour or two. You can do them in any color combo for any season or any reason. Great way to use up scraps from a quilt. What a great idea too to give a quilt with a matching ornament :)
I showed a pic of my son in his bunny suilt last week that he is wearing for character day at school this friday. Well here is my daughter. She is supposed to be the orange cat from Aristocat. I didn't know how we were going to pull that off becuase I had never seen the orange cat ears and tail but wasn't I surprised when we walked into our local Wally World and there it was org/black cat ears, tail, and bow tye. And right next to it the org/blk leggings. I think she is going to make a wonderful cat.
Tonight is our local Guild meeting and Friday we are leaving for Alabama to the Nascar Talledega Race for the weekend. It is my DH early anniversary present. I hope the skies stay clear and rain stays away. I don't know what I would do without my mom. Even though we live 2-1/2 hours from her she will be taking care of bringing my son where he has to go on Friday and picking him up on Sunday and staying with him so he can go on School on Monday. Thanks mom again and did I menion you are the BEST :)
After While Crocidile
Remember that this is "Pay Forward" for things you will be doing for me in November. I would do almost anything legal for my grandchildren but I think that DGS got the short stick of that deal. I preferred the IT costume Lance had. DGD got a better deal with the cat costume.
